The Smokehouse is Connemara’s longest established Smokehouse. The Connemara Smokehouse is a traditional family business owned and run by Graham & Saoirse Roberts. The Smokehouse was first founded in 1979 by Graham’s parents using a smoking kiln that was first commissioned in 1946 which is still in use today. With experience passed down fro generation to generation every fish is hand filleted and trimmed by Graham, hand salted and washed and smoked in the traditional way. Traditional methods and very high quality products have alway been the Roberts family priorities.
We have a small team of 8. Everyone involved, is friends or family, which we feel improves the quality of the product.
Our policy has aways been to delivery products of superior quality to our customers, combining old-fashioned craftsmanship with modern scientific technology and hygiene standards. As a small family business we believe in good old-fashioned service and value for money first and foremost. Our aim is to always provide a personal service of the highest order. None of our products contain artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. The only ingredients we use are fish, salt, smoke, herbs, sugar, honey and Irish whiskey. We are proud to offer you the finest Seafood Products in the world today.
